SPR# RSCF5UYRJX - Fixed the failure of DOMINC and DOMINM with the error 164 and 163 for the server installed in the directory other than /usr/lpp/lotus with opt_lotus_softlink=1.

Technote Number: 1166192

Problem:
This issue was reported to Lotus software Quality Engineering and has been
addressed in Domino 6.0.4 and 6.5.2.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.4 / 6.5.2 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

Server
SPR# RSCF5UYRJX - Fixed the failure of DOMINC and DOMINM with the error 164 and
163 for the server installed in the directory other than /usr/lpp/lotus with
opt_lotus_softlink=1.

The customer had installed the server with a SYMLINK at usr/lpp/lotus that
pointed to /USCT/lotus. This is comparable to installing with the
opt_lotus_softlink=1, except that the customer inserted the link instead of the
Notes install.
The errors occur because Domino for zSeries Console cannot
identify the correct server task, and thus it "believes" the target server is
not running. Domino for zSeries Console is looking for the task
/usr/lpp/lotus...os390/server, but the ps -ef data returned shows

/USCT/lotus...os390/server.

Workaround:
In domino_global_env, set the aaaaa_VERS_LotusDir variable for each affected
server to point to the target of the SYMLINK at /usr/lpp/lotus.

Enter the command 'ls -ld /usr/lpp/lotus' to verify there is a link and to get
the target value. Set the aaaaa_VERS_LotusDir variable(s) to the value of the
link target. The variables are in the domino_global_env file.
